Realme's rooting situation mirrors its parent OPPO: there is no open bootloader unlock. Realme uses a per-model 'Deep Testing' application inside Realme UI to authorize unlocks, and support varies widely by model, region, and firmware version. Some models were unlockable at launch and lost eligibility in later updates; others were never eligible. When an unlock is granted, rooting follows the standard fastboot Magisk flow — and because Realme leans heavily on MediaTek chipsets, many models also expose MediaTek's deep-flash tooling as a recovery path.

But the honest reality is that a large share of retail Realme phones cannot be officially unlocked, and no legitimate tool can bypass a locked Realme bootloader. As with OPPO, the correct first step is to confirm whether your exact Realme model can currently be unlocked before planning anything — eligibility genuinely changes between firmware versions.
