vivo X200 FE Overview

The vivo X200 FE is an Android device from vivo, released in 2025. It combines the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ (4 nm) and a 6.31-inch display, running Android 15. This page tracks its full specifications, root status, and the bootloader and recovery notes that apply to it.

Root the vivo X200 FE

The vivo X200 FE is a 2025 Android device from vivo. It runs the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ (4 nm), a MediaTek platform, flashed via SP Flash Tool on many models with BROM as the deep-recovery path. Shipped software: Android 15, up to 4 major Android upgrades, Funtouch 15. Because vivo does not currently provide a bootloader unlock for devices like this one, conventional Magisk root is not possible — contact us before assuming otherwise, as regional exceptions occasionally exist.

Difficulty

Restricted — official unlock unavailable

Typical time

N/A without an unlock path

Method

No conventional method — bootloader unlock unavailable

Bootloader unlock on vivo

vivo (and iQOO) do not offer a general official bootloader unlock outside limited regional programs, so most retail units cannot be conventionally rooted.

Platform notes

MediaTek platforms flash through SP Flash Tool rather than plain fastboot on many models, and expose BROM mode as a deep-recovery path. Correct scatter/firmware matching matters more here than on Snapdragon devices.

Before you start

  • Bootloader unlocking factory-resets the device on almost all models — back up everything first.
  • As a device launched on Android 15, the Magisk target is typically init_boot.img, not boot.img — patching the wrong image is the top bootloop cause on newer models.

FAQ

Can I root the vivo X200 FE?

Not through any conventional method. vivo (and iQOO) do not offer a general official bootloader unlock outside limited regional programs, so most retail units cannot be conventionally rooted. Magisk requires an unlocked bootloader, so without an official unlock path the vivo X200 FE cannot be rooted.

Will root the vivo X200 FE void my warranty?

vivo will generally treat a rooted vivo X200 FE as outside warranty while it is modified. Restoring full stock firmware before a service visit usually restores normal treatment in practice, and consumer law in some regions (such as the EU) may still cover defects unrelated to root.

What Android version does the vivo X200 FE run?

It runs Android 15, up to 4 major Android upgrades, Funtouch 15. The specifications table on this page lists the full software details.
